Reservation Confirmation

All reservations must be confirmed by email from “Deluxe Rentals” with a unique confirmation number and all the details you need to know about how you will find your car at the pick-up destination.

• Credit card is necessary issued in driver’s name

Insurance is not valid under the following circumstances:

• Accident due to drug or alcohol consumption of the driver or is generally considered as being unfit to drive.
• Use of vehicle on the off-road to Balos|Gramvousa is prohibited and the amount of the guarantee will not be returned
• Use of the vehicle from another driver who is not mentioned on the contract.
• The vehicle has been driven on a non-paved road.
• In case the hiring period is expired.
• If the vehicle leaves the island of Crete without written permission from “Deluxe Rentals”.
• If the vehicle has been used for any illegal purpose.
• Use of the wrong type of fuel.
• If the company has not been immediately informed of any damage or accident.
• To tow other cars or trailers.
• To carry more persons than it is licensed for.
• In case of loss or damage of car keys.
• In case that will be damage under the car(engine ,exhaust etc.).
• In case the car is illegally parked.
• In case of damage to the chassis, glass, interior and the wheels of the car

License Policy

The “lessor” states that he/she holds a lawful driving license, which is valid in Greece and has been issued at least 36 months prior to the signing of the present agreement. In the event of a holder of an International Driving License, it is compulsory that the license is accompanied by a driving license issued by the driver’s country.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level you received it. Unused fuel is not refundable.

Traffic fines

Clients are responsible for all tickets regarding traffic violations as well as any associated administration costs.
Driver Age & Requirements
• The minimum age is 25.
• Drivers must have held a full license for a minimum of 1 year.
• All driving licenses which have been issued within the EU will be accepted.
• All National driving licenses in Roman Alphabet will be accepted.
• All other National driving licenses must be accompanied by a valid International driving permit (IDP).

Cancelation Policy

From October to March

• 20 days to 11 days prior to arrival: 100% of the payment in advance is refunded
• 10 days to 7 days prior to arrival: 50% of the payment in advance is refunded
• 6 days prior to arrival, any cancellation and/or non shows, full cancellation fees applies

From April to September

• 31 days prior to arrival: 100% of the payment in advance is refunded
• 30 days to 21 days prior to arrival: 50% of the payment in advance is refunded
• 20 days prior to arrival, any cancellation and/or non shows, full cancellation fees applies

Liability – Guarantee amount

For all vehicle categories, the “lessee” must be a holder of a valid credit card.
The precise amount for which the “lessor” requests authorization is stated on below, while it is also the “liability”-guarantee amount in case of theft of vehicle or damages, etc
Upon receipt of the car, the corresponding guarantee amount will be charged to the driver’s credit card. This amount will remain reserved until the car is received and checked. At the end of the rental, the amount of the guarantee will be returned in full as long as no other charges arise.
The car warranty amount is set as below:

• · Mercedes Vito Tourer / Vito Tourer Wheelchair Accessible : €2.100

Delivery and acceptance

The “lessor” accepted the delivery of the Vehicle with all its equipment fully functioning, which he/she examined and found it to be to his/her liking, in perfect condition, appropriate for the use and purpose for which he/she leased it, having signed the respective damages form, he/she is obligated to return the Vehicle in the condition he/she received it and at the place and time defined herein.
In the event that the Vehicle is delivered by the “lessee” at a different place to the agreed one or after the agreed time, the “lessee” is obligated to pay to the lessor the regular charges as compensation for use and additional compensation for any incidental or consequential damages suffered by the lessor..

Insurance Coverage

The lease charges include the following insurance coverage: a. for death or bodily harm to third parties, not including the driver of the vehicle, b. for material damages to third parties, not including the leased vehicle, limited up to the amount stated in the insurance policy, on the condition that no term herein has been breached.
The insurance coverage against third parties is provided only to those persons who have permission to use the Vehicle, with an insurance policy, the terms of which the “lessee”, as well as any other additional drivers of the vehicle declare with the signing of the present that they are aware of.
The luggage and any other items owned by the “lessee”, the authorized driver, as well as any passengers of the leased vehicle are not covered by the insurance policy and the “lessor” has no liability whatsoever for any loss, wear, theft of same during the term of the lease or after the return of the vehicle to the “lessor”.
The “lessee” is exclusively liable for any damages which are not covered by the insurance policy of the vehicle.
